Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area (SSA #33) is directed by a commission of volunteer stakeholders administered by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. Commissioners must own or rent a property that is included in the SSA taxing district. (SSA#33 boundary map can be found here.)

These meetings are open, and the public is encouraged to attend, either in-person at 1414 N Ashland Ave or virtually. Virtual SSA #33 Commission meetings will begin at 7pm unless otherwise noted. Please contact us at ssa33@wickerparkbucktown.com for more information and to receive Zoom log-in or dial-in information to attend these meetings.
*The WPB SSA #33 Commission typically meets the third Wednesday of every month except where noted. There is no August or December meeting. There will be a meet-and-greet session that begins 15 minutes before the meeting commences.
Committees
Wicker Park Bucktown SSA #33 has 6 committees assigned to addressing specific topics important to our neighborhood. All committee meetings and SSA Commission Meetings are open to the public. Community participation is encouraged.
Anyone can apply to be a voting member of a committee; voting committee members do not have to live/rent/own property in the district. To become a voting committee member, you must submit an application, and be formally approved by the Commission.

CLEAN & GREEN COMMITTEE
Janik's Cafe (2011 W. Division St.)
The committee is tasked with improving the cleanliness/appearance of Wicker Park Bucktown’s streetscapes and other sustainability initiatives. Clean & Green oversees all of our vendor contracts for Landscaping, Litter Abatement, Graffiti Abatement, Tree Care, Sidewalk Snow Removal and more.
MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
WPB Chamber of Commerce (1414 N. Ashland Ave.)
This committee oversees promotional efforts, print/digital publications, brand management, and planning/economic development initiatives. This includes the annual publications like the Neighborhood Guide and SSA Annual Report, Holiday Decorations, Street Banners, Advertising Campaigns and stewardship of the WPB Master Plan.
GRANTS & REBATES COMMITTEE

TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE
WPB Chamber of Commerce (1414 N. Ashland Ave.)
This committee oversees Streetscaping and Placemaking in Wicker Park Bucktown. This includes all of the SSA's street furniture, including orange branded Bike Racks, Benches, and Planters and more. WPB SSA #33's Transportation Committee is pro-public transit, pro-active transit and is proud to be part of the most bike-friendly and pedestrian-friendly neighborhood in Chicago. This committee has worked closely with the Chicago Dept. of Transportation (CDOT) on targeted improvements along Milwaukee Avenue.
ARTS COMMITTEE
WPB Chamber of Commerce (1414 N. Ashland Ave.)
The Arts Committee is devoted to promoting local arts and maintaining WPB’s creative identity through Murals, Sculptures, and stewarding arts areas at local festivals. In 2018, the committee completed the installation of 3 major public artwork commissions, Lynn Basa's Worker Cottage Parklet, Mike Helbing's Wicker Tree, and a Hebru Brantley mural at the corner of Milwaukee/Wood/Beach.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
WPB Chamber of Commerce (1414 N. Ashland Ave.)
The Executive Committee is made up of officers from the SSA Commission. This committee discusses important matters which don't explicitly fall under the jurisdiction of other committees and prepares for SSA Commission Meetings (which take place the following day). Executive Committee also acts as a second opportunity to introduce or vote on new orders of business, in case other committees did not have sufficient attendance to formally vote on motions over the past month.
